"All power in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age." |
When Christ commissioned His disciples, He told them to baptize them "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit." He also told them to teach the newly baptize about everything Jesus taught His disciples, and to make sure that these new Faithful "observe all that I have commanded you." Catholics are baptized once. Read more about the institution of the Sacrament of Baptism here. |
