AND

Pro-Life Action Ministries Central Florida
Speaking up for those who have no voice!

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS TRAINING
DOES NOT TAKE PLACE AT HOLY FAMILY.
Sidewalk counseling is exactly what it sounds like: standing on the sidewalk outside of an abortion center counseling women and anyone that might accompany them inside the abortuary.

This is the last chance effort to offer real help to the woman, and the very last chance to cry out for the little child in the womb who is being drawn to the slaughter.

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who are destitute."
~~Proverbs 31:8~~
Join us and learn how you can rescue those being led away to the slaughter and speak to the abortion bound woman with sometimes seconds to spare. You can be a true lifesaver to the child! Whether you are new, or a seasoned counselor, come and learn how to minister in front of the abortion mills and be refreshed!
"If you falter in a time of trouble; how small is your strength! Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, "But we knew nothing about this," does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?"
~~Proverbs 24:11-12~~

Thanks and appreciation to, and for all of you who participated in Friday/Saturday’s Sidewalk Advocacy Training. I hope everyone who attended (16 of us) was encouraged and either learned something new to increase your confidence as you boldly speak up about the sanctity of unborn human life, or validated what you are already doing when counseling families. Thank you to Pastor Rob Nelson for having the Friday training at Oasis Assembly of God and to Christ Church Vero Beach for the grant to fund expenses.

Michele Herzog, Director of Central Florida Pro Life Action Ministry (PLAM) drove over from Orlando and was an awesome speaker and teacher! And it was wonderful to hear from her good friend Sheryl, who many of you already knew from her days as a sidewalk advocate at the abortuary in Fort Pierce, and who now lives in Okeechobee. She is welcome anytime she and any of her children have an opportunity to witness at the abortuary. Her son Josh was a joy to have with us!

Michele encouraged a goal of each of us to bring one other person into this ministry and I know all of us have strived to do that and more. All ministries except for the unborn, are for persons already existing and very few would deny that the Church ought to minister to those with any type of need. However, the global Christian Church is divided about a lifesaving ministry to families contemplating abortion, just like it was 150 years ago when the Church was divided as to whether slaves were human, were persons, and whether they had value in the eyes of God. That is repugnant and offensive for us to even say today, and we wonder how our forebears could think that way. Until hearts change about the personhood, humanity, and value of unborn children, we are standing in the gap trying to bring families back from the brink of hell and save the unborn from obliteration. We are on the front lines of the most important spiritual and moral battlefield the world has ever known. The work is tiring and discouraging and the battle looks like it will never end. It took hundreds of years for slaves to be given the legal status of persons and be given human rights available to everyone else. This battle may take that much time as well and mean that this ministry is for our lifetimes. But we know that God will be victorious in this fight. When we have done everything we can, we are called to simply stand.

At breakfast after standing at the abortuary Saturday, Jim Thoma told me about one day when he was ministering alone in the rain and feeling discouraged. A Dad dropped his lady off to have an abortion and as the Dad was driving away, he said to Jim, “You’re probably against this, and I am too”. Jim asked, “Did you try to talk her out of it”? The Dad replied halfheartedly, “Well yeah”. Jim said, “Maybe you didn’t try hard enough”. The Dad surprised Jim by replying, “You’re right”, and turned around and took the lady out of the abortuary. Only God knows why He lets the battle rage on as millions of lives are perishing. His ways are not like ours, nor His thoughts. He only asks US to show up. Thank you faithful warriors! You are saving lives and each life saved is generations of lives. When you enter heaven’s gates, you will have many jewels in your crown that you never knew about.

Refreshed and not giving up!,

K. Booth
